Mesmr - the decentralized media uprising

Welcome everyone on my blog! Today I will talk about a very exciting project. We will discuss how Mesmr is implementing blockchain technologies in a decentralized industry, and we will also talk in detail about the details of the ICO.

What Is mesmr ?

Mesmr is a standalone blockchain powered by the Proof of Influence (PoI) consensus protocol, and mesmr.tv is its proof of concept. PoI is a solution to the scalability issues of Ethereum, and the sustainability issues of Bitcoin. mesmr.tv illustrates the functionality and concepts behind PoI: using content creators, curators, and brands on the video platform to demonstrate nodes in the mesmr network.

About Mesmr

The decentralised mesmr platform is based on blockchain technology. It is being built to monetize content for the benefit of creators, users and brands, whilst maintaining a meaningful relationship between all three.

The Mesmr (blockchain) allows everyone to earn through their interactions with content on the Mesmr platform (Mesmr.tv). Mesmr makes the word “censorship” obsolete as the entire community decides what goes and what doesn’t. Think of any form of media existing today; no matter what you think of, it can be housed on Mesmr. Though the initial and perhaps main application on the Mesmr blockchain is the Mesmr video platform, it doesn’t mean that the blockchain will only contain media-based applications, or Mesmr built ones. Anyone can build on top of the Mesmr blockchain, no matter where they are, who they are or what they are building.

The Mesmr blockchain is specialized towards media content, though it can house any form of blockchain-based application pre-existing, or to-be-built application in the future. We’re not just here to disrupt the media of today, we’re also here to lay the groundwork for usable, intuitive blockchain technology, ready for use and further building by the developers, consumers and businesses of tomorrow.

The influence score
Each user on the platform gets assigned a score based on the weight of their content and actions within the mesmr ecosystem. Consumers win if they share quality content, Advertisers if their ads are effective, Creators if their content is engaging.

Transparent ad platform
No longer will media buys be valued by the number of followers or views a content piece has. Using blockchain, for the first time a content Creator or Advertiser can see if the Consumer has interacted with the content, without an invasion of privacy.

INNOVATION

Mesmr aligns the interests of content creators, consumers, advertisers and curators, while removing socio-economic costs associated with the existing digital ad networks, such as fraud and privacy violations. The Platform intends to incentivize and protect its participants by rewarding behavior that strengthens the community and the content it outputs. All users on the platform will be assigned an ‘Influence Score.’ Individual advertisements and pieces of content will also be assigned an Influence Score. These scores will determine the weight in which users may influence the direction of the platform. The score will be determined completely from a users behavior within the platform.

In a sense, Mesmr is the future of internet standards. The platform will solve the current problems with content monetization and influencer marketing.

SOLUTION

Platforms allowing a multiplicity of intermediaries and lack of value-addition from content creators, advertisers, and consumers aren’t sustainable. Platforms such as Facebook and Google are oligopolistic, and as a result, control the bulk of digital ad revenue, leaving creators and consumers with almost nothing.

Detail Mesmr Token Sale

Mesmr is a utility token. As such, it cannot be construed to imply any digital currency, commodity, or security offerings in any jurisdiction.
